Dear Representative and Senators,
It’s high time our leaders, in the administration and congress, defined for US, (the American people,) exactly what “victory” in Iraq will entail. The administration must be made to understand that, in the absence of such a definition, that an escalation, of all things, is wholly unacceptable.
To my admittedly limited perception of the situation over there, it seems that an increase in US troops will only lead to increased resentment and resistance to Our presence there; and ultimately to increased violence. We have to start moving toward peace, not more violence.
Sincerely,
Your Constituent Montag

Hi,
The president is expected to announce a proposal for Iraq that will increase troop
levels–an escalation. We have to stop that. It is important to show wide public
opposition to escalation this week. We have to send a signal that escalation should
be off the table and Congress should do their duty and stop it.Can you help out by signing this petition to Congress? It’s really easy, all you
have to do is click the link below:http://pol.moveon.org/noescalation/
Thanks!
