Do you not want to degrade a terrorist, not hurt them, but degrade them, if they are going to take out your family, if they are going to assassinate you? That’s the question that is being worked out[.]” — Ahhh, Bill is alluding to the elusive ‘ticking bomb scenario,’ which is somewhat of an illusive argument when you compare ‘terrorist about to take out your family’ to ‘person of interest’ or ‘person with similar name to a known terrorist’ or ‘taxi driver’ (i.e. the kind of people we read are being interrorgated;) and compare ‘degrade, not hurt’ to ‘simulate drowning’ or ‘sexually brutalize’ or ‘stuff in a sleeping bag and beat to death,’ (i.e. the type of treatment we are reading about.)
