Able-bodied, powerful (read: wealthy), English speaking, white males do not hold a monopoly on human potential. No matter what the test results imply.

That’s ultimately what we’re talking about, isn’t it?

    Possibly see Joel Spring, The Sorting Machine Revisited: National Educational Policy since 1945 (New York: Longman, 1989); and a great piece of fiction which captures the essence of modern education, Peter Hoeg’s Borderliners.
