The time stamp doesn’t show seconds, but this was posted at 01:02:03 on 04/05/06.
Waiting for it was reminiscent of my youth and my first watch, a digital Armitron, and being allowed to stay up. I got a big kick— in retrospect, perhaps too big of a kick —out of watching the date switch over at midnight. Or even better, on New Years watching the year change on the trusty Armitron.
I’d say I don’t remember being such a loser, but apparently I do.

Hah! You too with the digital watch huh? I had one of the big old clunky red LED ones back in the late 1970s. Magic! At least for my pre-teen self. Actually a few months ago I bought two old digital flip clocks off eBay because I still get a kick out of watching the numbers change. That and I find myself going way retro-nostalgic as I hit middle age.
I totally forgot about this. Dammit.
