2. 5 Jurors in Blake Trial Deny Misconduct — Blake was acquitted last year in criminal court of murdering Bonny Lee Bakley. But a civil court jury that found he “intentionally caused” her death and awarded her four children $30 million in damages. — Not trying to speak to actual guilt or innocence here, but it seems to Your Feeble Minded Montag that a murder acquittal in criminal court should be evidence enough that someone didn’t “intentionally cause” another’s death in civil court. Seems like a backdoor double jeopardy to me. (Just sayin’.)
3. Hollywood to sell digital films online — Six studios said Monday that sales will begin through the download Web site Movielink. . . . New films will be priced similar to DVDs – between $20 and $30 – while older titles will sell for $10 to $20. — What kind of licensing agreement will we have to not read but agree to to download? And, they should be cheaper than DVD, no?
