Dishonor is the New Black

March 14, 2006

1. What part of “disarmament” didn’t you understand? It’s the second of three pillars— or should I say the ‘short arm’ —of the NNPT. — UK designs secret nuclear warhead
2. Unbe-fucking-lievable: Pakistan weekly spills 9/11 beansThe Pakistan foreign office had paid tens of thousands of dollars to lobbyists in the US to get anti-Pakistan references dropped from the 9/11 inquiry commission report… — Not sure what to make of this story. Of course my default mode of late is: ‘assume the worst.’
3. Iraqis Find 85 Bodies in 24-Hour Period — Awful. OFFAL is optimistic, though, since Iraqis haven’t yet reached the point of wearing blue or gray and lining up to shoot each other with muskets.
4. Moment of silence in Texas challengedThe law . . . allows children to “reflect, pray, meditate or engage in any other silent activities” for one minute after the American and Texas pledges at the beginning of each school day. — Two pledges and a minute of silence; they’re indoctrinating the shit out of the kids down in Texas!
5. Why Poor Countries Are Poor — It’s the immoral power seekers, stupid. —

I always used my moment of silence for some quiet masturbation time. At that age, it only takes about a minute, anyway.

“…or engage in any other silent activities…”

Does that mean you can masturbate, as long as you’re quiet about it? Or how about knifing someone? That’s nice and quiet.

    “Hey, teacher! Reflect on THIS!

    “Help! Help! I’ve been stabbed!

“Shut up, teach! We’re havin’ a moment of silence here! Oh, and you might wanna take the few moments you got left to reflect on yer sins…but quietly. It’s OK to bleed, but no moaning, alright?
