UPDATED: Rough Draft

March 7, 2006

I have a vague feeling that the whole proliferation of nuclear weapons thing is best avoided at all costs, and that I should somehow let my leaders in Congress know how I feel about it. Specifically, the real threat OFFAL‘s nuclear technology deal-y with Indi-a, poses to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Dear Reader, help me with this letter. Help me punch this letter up, fill it out with details, frame the argument better, etc. I place it here in rough draft form for a 24 hour review; and then, I urge as many of us as possible to send it on in.

[UPDATE: The comments were positive, so I’ve let the letter rip unchanged. It now has it’s own post.]

Oh, yeah. Should we express, in this same letter, concern about our ongoing development and testing of new nuclear weapons? When, after all, one of the goals of the NNPT is disarmament. Or should we just keep it simple?

Looks good. Simple. Sincere. Can’t do better than that.

I like it. And I agree with leaving out the caveat about nuclear testing. These folks in Congress don’t deal well with lots of information. I like your letter.
