Wrestling With History — In October of ’02, after the ink was long dry on the invasion plans, and congress had already authorized OFL to use military force against Iraq, Donald Rumsfeld presented a 29 bullet point list of “potential pitfalls,” “all the things that one has to anticipate could be a problem” on the “off-chance” that we might have a conflict with Iraq. — Why did Rumsfeld write that memo, at that moment, and why is he flagging it now?
