No chronic for chronic pain

Court Rules Against Pot for Sick People

Federal authorities may prosecute sick people whose doctors prescribe marijuana to ease pain, the Supreme Court ruled Monday..

Hey, at least tobacco is still legal. Tobacco kills what, 3 million people a year? Medically prescribed opiates are addictive if misused, and potentially deadly too. Isn’t marijuana relatively safe by comparison?

The problem is clear! There’s not enough lobbying money working for Mary Jane in DC.

Why do federal authorities want to prosecute medical marijuana users, anyway? Will reducing the demand for medical marijuana end the drug trade?

I don’t even know where to go with this post. The absurdity is mind bending.

There is a brief article here and a wealth of links to more information if you scroll down.
