Apparently OFFAL is drawing criticism over ordering the NSA to wiretap (sans warrants) US citizens allegedly communicating with alleged international terrorists. The aching question seems to be: “Is it really that hard to get a warrant to wiretap someone allegedly communicating with alleged international terrorists?”
Guest, Hillzoy, at The Washington Monthly seems to have a problem with what OFFAL is doing on account of it “is against the law.”
In The War Room at Salon.com they are “deconstructing the president’s defense” “…to defend a secret spying program that violates the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978.”
COUNTERPOINT OFFAL argues “NSA Surveillance Necessary, Legal” and …he would continue the program “for so long as the nation faces the continuing threat of an enemy that wants to kill American citizens[.]”
