Some of these are kind of stale on account of the long break. (We’re back.)
U.S. Lifts Embargo on Indonesia Arms Sales — Because Indonesia “…is seen by Washington as a key ally in the war on terror.” The last paragraph of the article reminds us what else we know about Indonesia: — Indonesia’s invasion of East Timor in 1975 and the subsequent 24-year occupation is blamed for the deaths of 200,000 people — a third of the population. Anti-insurgent activities in the eastern province of Papua since 1969 are believed to have caused the deaths of more than 100,000 people.

Former Canadian Minister Of Defence Asks Canadian Parliament Asked To Hold Hearings On Relations With Alien “Et” Civilizations — The Iraq war and the War on Terror are nothing next to the coming intergalactic war.“The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning.” — Sounds like somebody hasn’t seen War of the Worlds (now on DVD) or else somebody would be taking this threat a little more seriously! I mean, we don’t want the smoking gun to come in the form of thousands of fifty-foot, mushroom-like, frighteningly armed, robotic tripods! —
